Draft — legal review before publication.

This policy has been tailored to the website practices currently identified. Before publishing, have an Australian privacy professional or lawyer review it against your exact hosting, email, cookie, analytics, advertising, CRM, newsletter, payment and overseas-processing arrangements.

1. Overview

Insightful Sue is operated by Sue Chea (“Insightful Sue”, “we”, “us” or “our”). We respect your privacy and are committed to handling personal information responsibly when you visit insightfulsue.com.au, contact us or use resources available through the website.

This policy explains the types of personal information we may collect, the ways we may use and share it, and the choices available to you. It is intended to reflect the website’s current practices.

2. Information we collect

We collect only the information reasonably needed to respond to your enquiry, operate the website and provide services. This may include:

  • Information you provide voluntarily: your name, email address, phone number, company or business name, service interest, referral source, project details, goals, timeline and any other information included in a contact-form submission or other communication.
  • Correspondence: records of enquiries, emails, feedback and other communications with us.
  • Technical and usage information: information generated by your browser or necessary website infrastructure, such as IP address, browser or device details, pages requested, date and time of access, and security or error logs, where collected by the host or relevant service provider.

Please do not send sensitive personal information through the contact form unless we have specifically asked for it and explained how it will be handled.

3. How we collect information

We collect information directly when you complete our contact form, email us, call us or otherwise communicate with us. The contact form sends the information you enter to our nominated business email address so that we can respond to you.

Some limited technical information may be collected automatically through your browser, web host or other services needed to deliver the website. The current supplied website uses Google Fonts and hosted image resources, and it links to third-party platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn and external resources. Those services may collect information directly under their own policies when you access them.

Based on the current supplied website files, we do not intentionally use proprietary advertising pixels, session-recording tools, marketing analytics or a newsletter platform. If this changes, we will update this policy and provide notices or consent mechanisms where required by law.

4. How we use information

We may use personal information to respond to enquiries, discuss prospective work, prepare or provide agreed services, communicate with you, manage our business records, protect the website from misuse, improve our website or services, and comply with legal obligations.

We may use your contact details to provide marketing communications only where permitted by law. You may ask us to stop sending marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe method provided or by emailing us.

5. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information to trusted providers or people who reasonably need it to support our business and website, such as web-hosting providers, email providers, technology suppliers, contractors, professional advisers or service providers involved in delivering work for you. We may also disclose information where required, authorised or permitted by law.

Where we engage a service provider to handle personal information on our behalf, we seek to use providers whose arrangements are appropriate for the information and service involved.

6. Storage and security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical measures appropriate to the nature of the information we hold. These may include access controls, secure hosting and email practices, limiting access to people who need information for the purposes described in this policy, and taking reasonable steps to respond to suspected misuse or unauthorised access.

No online system is entirely risk-free. While we take reasonable care, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of information transmitted over the internet or stored in digital systems. We keep information for only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, our business records or legal obligations, and then delete or de-identify it where practicable.

7. International processing

We do not currently intend to send contact-form information directly to overseas recipients as part of the stated website workflow. However, web, email, font, image, social-media and other technology providers may operate globally and may process technical information outside Australia under their own arrangements. We will update this policy if our own use of service providers makes an overseas disclosure likely.

8. Your rights and choices

You may ask us to provide access to, correct or update personal information we hold about you. You may also ask us to delete information where appropriate, subject to any legal, accounting, dispute-resolution or record-keeping requirements that apply. To make a request, email info@insightfulsue.com.au. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

If you are concerned about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us in writing with details of your concern. We will acknowledge and investigate the matter and aim to respond within a reasonable period, generally within 30 days. If you remain dissatisfied after we have had a reasonable opportunity to address your complaint, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

You can manage cookies, stored site data and privacy settings through your browser. Third-party platforms may provide their own privacy and advertising controls.

9. Children’s information

This website and our services are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the website. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can consider appropriate steps.

10. Changes and contact

We may amend this policy when our practices, providers, website features or legal obligations change. The current version will be available on this page with its effective date.
